Description

The 600MW brown coal power generation trains G & H at Weisweiler power station were both supplemented with topping turbines. The waste heat produced is used to replace the heat requirement of the high pressure preheater for both of these power trains. Lentjes GmbH was contracted by RWE Power AG at the beginning of January 2005 to complete the project on a turnkey basis. In addition to the necessary works to the power plant buildings the scope of works included a natural gas pressure reducing station, foundations to miscellaneous equipment and pipe bridges together with the relocation of utility lines and all buildings services. Codema was commissioned to undertake the civil and structural design work at the beginning of 2005.
