Niederaußem

CODEMA supports the RWE Power AG with the construction planning of a new prototype plant for the power station Niederaußem.

RWE Power AG is working on the development of vortex layer drying unit technology to increase the efficiency of lignite power stations. This new technology will be tested based on a prototype plant on the property of the power station Niederaußem. The investment- and operation costs will amount to approximately 40 million EURO. For this innovative project CODEMA is ordered to plan and to prepare tender for the structural process plant like steel frameworks, substation buildings, silo and reinforced concrete pits. In addition to this CODEMA will be responsible for the planning of integrating the prototype plant into the existing infrastructure.
