Description of the project

Lurgi AG, Frankfurt, is building a new Biodiesel plant in Piesteritz. CODEMA has been commissioned with the construction planning of the new plant. The owner of the Biodiesel plant is Neckermann Renewable GmbH Wittenberg, who has already built a Biodiesel plant in Halle that was also brought on line. The Biodiesel plant in Piesteritz is a plant that produces biodiesel and glycerin out of the delivered rape-seed so that the complete process of the natural product rape can be carried out with this plant.

CODEMA is responsible for the complete civil design of Lurgi's scope including all structural calculations and drawings as well as the architectural design for buildings. Physical approvals relating to the construction are also to be done for buildings. Besides all foundation works (several tank- and silo foundations, a cooling tower foundation, a tank cup of approximately 80m length as well as further small units), CODEMA is planning the pipe bridges as well as several process buildings in steel structure, one process building in reinforced concrete (depending on the area using prefabricated elements) and a solid office- / staff building.
